Contray to my bad experience with Hubcaps Plus (see previous post) I have had positive experiences with the following internet companies when buying parts for my '08 GT mod project. MRT (Mustang Racing Technologies) - Excellent customer service and great products. When I placed my order I got an email back asking if I really wanted 2 of an item that normally requires only one. They automatically reduced the quantity on my order and saved me $23 and the hassle and cost of having to return it later. The next day I received another email stating they were reducing the shipping charges by $30 because they were able condense my order into fewer boxes. Again, automatically reducing the amount charged to my card. Beware of companies who offer "free shipping." They jack up the price of the parts more than the shipping would have cost. After receiving the parts I emailed MRT about one item not seeming to fit. It turned out that a small fitting was missing from the package. They immediately sent me the missing fitting, no questions asked. In all they saved me more than $60 without even asking any questions. Hubcaps Plus could take some lessons from MRT. I've also had good luck with: Silverhorse Racing American Muscle What have your experiences been and who do you recommend (or not)? Dave

Good: Moss Mustang Lethal performance Southern Mustang Parts Small company. The owner actually answers the phone. Blow By Racing RPM designs SS inserts Brenspeed: Great customer service.
Bad: Bros performance Bought pedals via paypal. After 3 weeks a nice set of pedals for for a SN95 showed up... Called they said sure send them back but you ordered them incorrectly. A SN95 is not +05. You pay shipping and a 20% restocking fee. Turned them into paypal. Got my money back and still have the pedals if anyone wants them let me know.

I only need two pedals, but I bet you can find a few people who could use three.

Thanks again Lawrence. I ordered some more parts from Brenspeed and they shipped the next day. Due to arrive tomorow. And I saved a bunch of money over who I was going to buy from. I'm discovering there are huge differences in prices (as much as 2X) for the exact same part from 2 different distributors. It pays to shop around. Thanks, Dave

It's always worth asking for a Discount as well.
I have gotten an extra 5-6% discount from American Muscle for belonging to "Mustang Forums". I've also gotten an extra discount for being a repeat customer. Being a repeat customer can usually get some kind of a discount from many of these vendors.
Just keep asking for the: Repeat Customer Discount Mustang Forum Discount NCMCC Discount "I'm a Good Guy" Discount Multi-Mustang Discount "I'm going to tell my buddies good things about you" Discount "You name it" Discount
They will usually breakdown and give you something.

Sorry for the delayed response Lawrence. I bought a set of billet fluid fill caps for some under the hood bling from Brenspeed. I've added a couple a dozen items so far but nothing too radical yet. Come see the grand reveal on Saturday at Spradley-Barr show.

I recently bought a new console and trunk matting material from RestoreMustangs in Las Vegas. It showed up in 3 days and was a good deal less expensive than Mustang Specialists in Saudi Aurora. I am currently waiting on a new Lokar shifter to replace my stock shifter and can't wait to get it installed.
