I need to order a couple more parts and then can start the tune up of the SHO. I need to do the valve cover gaskets, plugs, wires, vac lines, silicone hoses for the intake runners.
I am trying to decide if I want to mess with the valve shims.
With a couple of extra hands, should be able to knock it out on a Saturday.

Make sure you are sitting down when you get a price for a gasket set on that motor. I about fell over.

Already bought the valve cover gaskets. I think they were $100 for the set. A bit different than my 289.

If I remember correctly, the comlete gasket kit for that motor was over 500.00

I beleive it. Everything for the motor is spendy. I need one more set of gaskets, and I am ready to go I think on the top tuneup.
