Has anyone done this? I will be looking for a new Daily Driver this summer, low budget (under 3k). I would like to think I can get another mustang past the wife, but the trick is the two kids. I have a 3 yr old and a 2 yr old. They have to go to daycare 4x a week. At 6'1, I do not remember there being much room behind the seat, but I do not have access to a Fox body right now.
Thoughts? Anyone doing this? Should I give up and find a nice used SHO?

I don't have a fox body but even my 66 is plagued by a shortage of backseat room. Keep in mind your kids don't need the legroom and if you let the wife pick the car you might get away with it

Well. Test fit them in a couple cars. Its not the lack of leg room that was a problem, it was that the back of my seat was now a kids footrest. (and by footrest, I mean pretend soccer ball) The other problem, no middle for the teenager. Just cannot fit 3 adults and 2 kids in a Mustang. Solution: 91 SHO. Really cheap, and can outrun a 91 5.0 Mustang.

Good choice. Mustangs in general are 2 seater cars, Although I sure managed to cram a lot of friends in mine during High School ;D

Nice looking ride. If you need a parts car, you might be able to sweet talk Kevin D out of his SHO

Is yours a plus? I beleive the rod shifter only came on the Plus in 91, and then on all of them in 92.
I happen to have a spare rod shifter in the garage. I don't remember what I paid for it, but I am sure we can make a deal.
