Looking for recommendations (Do's and Don'ts) on vinyl racing stripes. Either self-installed or local shops? If DIY, suggested sources for QUALITY stripes.
Thanks in advance!!!

I have applied them to a car, and it was not as easy as it looked. I think if I were to do it again, I would look at having it done.
Of course, I had a lot of help, and everyone had a lot of beer, so that could have been part of the issue.

[/quote] Frank and Shelia have had several different vinyl stripes applied by a shop in Longmont. I don't remember what shop, but I assume they will be at the meeting this Saturday. One of these days, I am pulling the stripes off the vette and getting them painted on.

You might want to contact Spradley-Barr. I seem to recall seeing a big sign on the building out back that they install 3M clear bras. I used a company called CLEARBRA CONNECTION out of Littleton that came to my house to install a clear bra on my Toyota 4Runner. They did a great job. I imagen they do stripes as well. Scott Wainwright is the owner. 303-470-5847 www.clearbrafilm.com/colorado/Dave

I recently had my 66 fastback painted at Midwest Auto Body in Longmont. I went with your basic white w/black Shelby stripes and I think it turned out pretty d**n good but then I might be a bit biased:) I sent out some pics for club members to look at. I highly recommend MAB in Longmont.
