Afternoon everybody! Just finished an initial two pull Dyno Test today up at Advanced Transmission, and wanted to share. I was only able to get to a couple of events last year, but definitely plan on making lots of activities this coming year. A few more additions pending to the Mustang over the Winter to include a new Wheel/Tire package, and likely then on to stage 2. Testing from the initial dyno pulls without tuning. (Per the Advanced Transmission Team:) - Estimated HP at the Crank at Altitude in Fort Collins = 307 hp, 350 ft/lbs torque. - Corrected HP for Sea Level (+ 19%) would be = 364 hp, and 416 ft/lbs of torque. - Rear Wheel HP on Dyno = 236 rwhp, Rear Wheel Torque = 269 ft/lbs - Total Vehicle Weight = 2,850 lbs - Returning in a few weeks for a Chip and Dyno Tuning after a few additions. Glad to see that someone has actually used the forum!!
Looks like you had a couple of good pulls. Are you basically running a drivetrain from a 5.0 Foxbody? That's what it sounds like. Is Jon still running the dyno there?
You mentioned some "additions", what do you have in mind?
Good luck with the chip. Are they going to piggyback it onto the stock ECM? I look forward to hearing some feedback on how everything works out for you?
Look forward to seeing you at more club functions this year.

Those are some very nice numbers to start with!
We'll be anxious to hear of the "additions" and the differences on the Dyno.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. It's been fun so far, and this is a great group. I don't recall the name of the fella who did the actual dyno, but Dave and crew are great guys. It is essentially the drivetrain from a 93 LX. Work to be done asap: 1. Have had a mild/moderate exhaust leak since the motor was built, so I'm going to get the gaskets replaced at the headers so we can get some more accurate measures on the dyno prior to the full tune and repeat dyno. 2. Plan to have those guys tune and program the chip specific to the findings. 3. May upgrade the injectors...right now they are the stock injectors from the 93 LX. So, we're getting lots of airflow, so may need to get some additional fuel flowing through to bump the numbers up. 4. We'll monkey with the timing a bit and then do some more aggressive dyno pulls. The first couple we were taking it a bit easy in terms of RPMs, etc. Those are likely the immediate changes. Spring will bring 17 or 18" wheel/tire package, some other fine tuning to make the engine look a little prettier and visions of a supercharger remains floating around and may occur at some point. We'll see. Thanks again for the response.
